The portable, recycled plastic packaging makes it easy to take on the go. From your shower - to the gym - or your suitcase. Bottle None keeps your luscious locks looking great - no matter where your life takes you.

For this review I chose beSTRONG for my tired, frail strands. After the first wash my ends looked healthier than ever - and my hair smelled amazing. I can't believe how much product (and plastic) I used to waste.

These shampoo and conditioner bars from Bottle None are a fun way to clean up our planet and your tresses at the same time.

How To Use Shampoo And Conditioner Bars

Bottle None's Shampoo and Conditioner bars is a fun alternative to your regular shampoo. If you haven't used them before, follow the tips below for easy instructions.

How To Use A Shampoo Bar

Lather in your hands or directly on your hair. It's recommended you shampoo twice for the best results (a common tip and trick from professionals in the hair industry). Avoid contact with the eyes.

How To Use A Conditioner Bar

Warm up your bar in the heat of your shower/bath water and then apply directly onto your hair. Heat is important! Warm water works to soften the bar so you can easily work it into your hair.

Pressing the bar onto your hair gives you a great coating of conditioner and eases your comb out experience.

How To Store Your Shampoo + Conditioner Bars

After each use make sure the bar dries completely out on an elevated soap dish. Do not store in the shower as the water and humidity can erode the bars faster. Store in the open air and not the travel containers as it will make your bar nice and hard, and last longer.

Additional TWG Reviews

Bottle Nones shampoo and conditioner bars have been my favourite purchase of 2022. At 47, I think I have tried almost all of the mainstream haircare brands out there. There hasn't been a brand that I have found that I have found that can match the salon quality at the hairdressers. Worst of all is I buy a bottle, get 3/4 of the way through and my hair just does not agree with my hair type, and I end up chucking it out. I got introduced to Bottle None from a colleague, and I can honestly say this product changed the game for me! This is salon quality shampoo and condition in a waste free format. The bars last up to 50 washes, and comes in a traveling case so the product is never wasted. I love it! - Elizabeth

I recently received the BeBold hair bar set from Bottle None as a birthday gift, and I am obsessed. My curly hair can be unruly at times, so I was skeptical that a shampoo and conditioner bar would lather enough to provide the product that my hair needed. These bars are dense. They provide the best formula for smooth silky hair. 10/10 - will keep buying. - Emma

I first heard of Bottle None from the show “Dragons Den”. Bottle None being a plastic free - waste free - salon quality product; I just had to try! I have used shampoo and conditioner bars in the past, and I hadn’t had much luck. All the brands I previously found were not PH Balanced, which meant my hair was left dry, frizzy and tangly. Using Bottle None makes your hair feels like it was just washed at the salon. My hair has never felt so smooth in my life. I highly endorse! - Susan

FAQ

Are your bars PH Balanced and why is that important?

Our bars are PH balanced to 4.5-5.5 making them salon grade. When the PH is higher than this it blows the cuticle open, causing the natural oils and shine to escape, split ends and damage over time.  Also properly balancing the pH levels makes your color last longer!

Watch out for bars with SCS (sodium cocoa sulfate).  They have little white spots throughout and those "prills" are a PH of 9.  They might be able to balance the area around, but your hair will still be hit with pieces of PH 9.

How long do your shampoo and conditioner bars last?

50+ washes depending on how long your hair is and how well you store them.

How Do I store shampoo and conditioner bars?

  • let drain and dry on a soap dish after each use
  • don't store in the shower, the humidity can cause the bars to erode or get softer quicker
  • store in open air and not the travel cases to maximize curing
  • stack the bits of the ends of bars together to get a bonus bar!

Do your products work on extensions?

Absolutely! We don't have any harsh surfactants that degrade glues or extensions.  Our cold-pressed soap-free formula won't cause build up.

What does 'Salon-Grade' mean?

Salon-grade means a stronger combination of essential minerals, oils, and cleansing agents your hair requires for maximum flexibility, body, and shine!

Are your bars PH Balanced and why is that important?

Does Bottle None products work for color treated hair?

Absolutely!  Their products don't contain any harsh sulfates that damage coloured hair. It is also PH balanced to keep the cuticle closed, keeping the colour in!

The Bottom Line

Bottle None's Shampoo and Conditioner bars do amazing things for you hair and the planet. Using Bottle None means you contribute to a greener future and a toxin-free home.

I really struggled to find a trade off comparing these bars to my regular shampoo and conditioner. When I started using Bottle None I could see the wear and tear my usual products had on my hair (and my wallet).

Do they work? Yes.

Do I love them? Definitely.
